NDW Viewer
The NDW Viewer provides an up-to-date picture of the road. An interactive map allows you to see the traffic situation at a glance: from traffic jams to roadworks and from bridge openings to matrix signs. Everything clearly arranged in one place.
What can you see in the NDW Viewer?
- Current traffic situation on the main road network
- Roadworks and events
- Dynamic route panels (DRIPs) and their texts
- Traffic jams, journey times, intensity and speed (Floating Car Data and loops)
- Bridge openings, image displays, matrix signal transmitters
- Hectometre posts, car parks, reports from Waze
- Traffic cameras and signals from vehicle sensors (under development)
How does it work?
The NDW Viewer is, as it were, a digital “twin” of the real traffic situation. By cleverly combining all kinds of data sources, the NDW Viewer helps road authorities to respond more quickly to incidents, disruptions or increasing traffic congestion.
Who is the NDW Viewer intended for?
The NDW Viewer is available to all authorities responsible for road management in the Netherlands, such as municipalities, provinces, transport regions and Rijkswaterstaat.
